Dr. Jamia Dock - Climbing Higher Heights Founder and Former Educator

Career educator and motivational speaker Dr. Jamia Dock has been at the forefront in promoting quality education in Mississippi for decades. She has always believed that everyone, especially underserved and lower-performing youth in the community, deserves equal opportunities, quality education, and resources as their able peers. To achieve this dream, Dr. Jamia Dock founded Climbing Higher Heights.

Established in 2018, the organization provides consultancy services to school districts through data-driven guidance tailored to each school’s unique requirements, including extended learning programs and summer camps, as well as stronger parent-teacher relationships, targeted interventions, and higher-grade tutoring. Dr. Jamia aims to achieve this through leadership training, professional and curriculum development, teacher mentorship, cultural diversity workshops, and grant writing assistance for funding.

Dr. Dock earned her bachelor of arts in history and english from Alcorn University, graduating with honors in 1997. She later pursued a master's in educational administration and educational leadership from the University of Missouri and a doctorate in educational leadership from Concordia University.

Determined to refine her art and offer optimal and informed services to the community, Dr. Jamia Dock has sought various accreditations and continuing education qualifications and is a certified grants writer and professional development trainer. She is also certified by the Child Care Food Program (CCFP), an initiative that provides nutritious meals for the underserved children, youth, and adults in care.
